Absolutely. In fact, this is the industry standard for external combat kneepads. The hard plastic cap protects against sharp rocks and glass. Our neoprene acts as the internal shock absorber behind the cap. We can laminate the neoprene with special fabrics that are easy to glue or stitch to plastic caps.
